This lovely property was two cottages that has been made into one. The customer wanted an Oak floor that looked old and distressed, I think the fact that I turned up fitting that description gave him hope. The floor chosen was rustic with lots of knots and character with the planks randomly distressed. The perfect choice for the property.

Amazing difference

The concrete floor being fitted on was in pretty good condition. We used and underlay with a moisture barrier in, very important when laying a wood floor over concrete. No skirting was used, the expansion gap was covered with a flat Oak bead that matched the floor. This looks very effective and set the room off, perfectly. The floor looks like it has shared the history of the house.
