Utility room to treatment room, a recent installation.
| | Wood flooring installation in Horndean This installation was for a lovely couple that recently brought the property in Horndean. They had seen a wood floor at a "Grand Designs" exhibition that they had fallen in love with. The room was at ground level and had been a spare/utility space. The object was to transform it in to an alternative treatment room for paying customers. The floor required was an Oak oiled floor with a white wash stain. The customer also wanted new skirting in keeping with the room and the floor. | |
| | Finding the floor and decoratingWe sourced a 21mm engineered Oak floor with the a touch of white stain running through it. The skirting chosen was a primed, 5", MDF. The customers had decorated the room prior to our floor installation. Its really up to the customer if a space is decorated before or after us installing a floor. We are very careful. | |
| | Ready for treatment We used an underlay with sound reduction, insulation and moisture protection, the moisture protection being very important over a concrete floor. The floor was laid using the "floating" method. The skirting fitted last. The room looked totally fantastic on completion with the customer commenting " I really cannot imagine anybody providing a better service or fitting the floor so well". What a beautiful room to run a business from. We wish them every success. | |
